Discover Scuba Buoyancy Control Key Largo
4 January 2019 AM & PM
Jules Lagoon and Jacobs Aquatic Center Pool AM
This morning at Jules Lagoon Inst. Thomas taught our 2 newest PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty students. Excellent scuba training location for the specialty diver certification course. Having to not worry about surface waves and underwater currents makes Jules Lagoon the most ideal place for this course. Additionally not having to rush to get on and off a boat and no travel time also makes this the very best place to do PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy training.
Jacobs Aquatic Center Pool AM
The second group of students headed to Jacobs Aquatic Center Pool with Inst. Alex for their first experience on Scuba today. PADI Discover Scuba Diving training is fun this time of the year when done in the warm heated community swimming pool. Once sorted out with all skills these folks will be joining the afternoon boat to go out to the reef and do the open water dives.
Molasses Reef PM
This afternoon at Eagle Ray Alley Our guided snorkeling group with Inst. Thomas and Discover Scuba Diving group with Inst. Alex, Inst. Mike and DM Klayton loved the great viz. However we had to contend with a moderate to strong current at this site. The current is what cleaned up the nasty viz we have been dealing with.
Sand Island Reef PM
The second site at Sand Island Reef Was nice and shallow for the snorkeling guests and we hoped for no current at this site. I know we can’t have everything we wish for so we dealt with the current to have the lovely viz today.
Seas remained 2 to 3 feet all afternoon.
