Visibility Key Largo Reef

Reporting the visibility on the reef before getting out to the sites is near to impossible. We sure wish there was a video live feed out at Molasses Reef underwater on the weather tower there.
This would greatly help us pick what sites to head to when we leave the boat dock each day.
Imaging how cool it would be to be able to log in and watch a live feed video from out at Molasses Reef in Key Largo, Florida Keys. What a rush it would be to be able to see all the fish, turtles and even sharks swimming by the camera.
But this is not reality “yet”, so we just drive the boat to a sight and see what the viz. is when we get there.

Molasses Reef @ North Star Site

This afternoon at North Star site all divers and snorkelers enjoyed the personal guided tours by the in water staff of Sail Fish Scuba. Visibility Key Largo Reef Diving today was good for this time of the year. Guides Report water temperature right around 74 F. today which is up a few degrees and feels great with a full wetsuit.
Padi Inst. Alex completed open water training dive #3 with student Missy on this dive and Padi Inst. Thomas started open water training dive #1 with student Ken.
Inst. Mike guided the certified divers today and took tons of fun photos for everyone.
Dive Master Rick was the snorkeling guide this afternoon and showed snorkeling guests all the cool sights to see at the reef.
Owner of Sail Fish Scuba and Deeper dive boat captain Chris kept everyone safe topside all day.

Molasses Reef @ Aquarium Site

The second site at Aquarium Site Divers and snorkelers got to see Blue Tang and Parrot Fish.
Open water training dive #2 was completed by Inst. Thomas’s student and open water training #4 by Inst. Alex student.
Huge congratulations going out to Missy for finishing her PADI open water diver certification course today.
Everyone was super happy today that the Florida sun was shining bright and the air was a nice warm 75 F. degrees.
